1966 Holden HR Special review from Australia and New Zealand
"Gotta love them HR wagons!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Absolutely nothing that wasn't there when I bought it... And it was pretty darn good then!
General comments?
This is the second HR wagon that I have owned, the first being totalled in a 6x rollover off an 80 foot embankment! I have looked for a long time to find one as good as this and I really appreciate the efforts of the two previous owners.
Still has a few body roll issues and the bench seat in the front is *really* bouncy. Will talk to my mate at Pedders and see what he can help with.
The best bonus of all was the HR Panel Van that came with it... just crying out for a nice paintjob, an injected 308 and T700, and a trick interior fitout (DVD, plasma screen and Playstation etc. whooohooo)...
You just can't beat the charisma of a HR (park a clean one out front of a country pub and see how many people pull up for a look!)
