1992 Mazda B2200 review from North America
"The B2200 is economical and reliable---and nothing more"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front brakes have been replaced numerous times--more than the average vehicle would require.
Transmission input shaft seal failed at 100,000 miles.
Due to a bad air filter, engine requires a rebuild at 200,000 miles.
Front suspension has always been noisy (squeaks).
General comments?
Gas mileage has always been a little disappointing. At best this truck has gotten 24mpg.
Overall, this is a very reliable, well built pickup.
The one piece of advice I could give to a prospective buyer---buy the fuel injected B2200. I have the carburated version, it has worse fuel economy and is beginning to run poorly when cold. Fuel injection would help both of these issues.
The interior is adequate, it has held up very well for 200,000+ miles, but toyota's and nissan's were always more comfortable.
