1997 Ford Taurus GL review from North America
"Not worth the money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I bought this car at auction for a good price and it ran superb for several months. I regret the purchase now because it is one problem after another. It's too bad though, it would have been a nice ride if Ford could pull their stuff together.
Clunk from front end when turning at slow speeds.
"Door Ajar" light intermittently comes on and stays on.
Transmission clunks from 1st to 2nd.
Just start leaking transmission fluid.
Windshield fogs up when car is started.
Knocks and pings under a load.
Windshield leaks around seal.
General comments?
I really like the legroom. I am 6'1"
Plenty of passing power as well as off the line.
Stock stereo is decent.
Quiet ride at high speeds.
