1996 Saturn SL SL2 review from North America
"A Saturn is the last car I would recomend"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The second motor blew at 122,000 miles.
The head blew at 150,000 miles.
There has been repeated problems with the coolant system after a complete replacement.
The shift cables snapped at 130,000 miles.
There is a problem with the oil and the coolant vanishing into thin air.
The check engine light has come on several times-resulting in the replacement of every sensor in the car.
The car starts to run bad if you are even close to being due for an oil change.
The air conditioning refuses to work after being repaired.
Repairs are more expensive than most cars.
The only thing I haven't replaced is the frame.
General comments?
This car is safe and spunky.
However I feel it is the most unreliable car out there.
I have heard several people have had some of the same common problems with their Saturn.
