1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royal Brougham review from North America
"Hope to have her for another 20 years!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
A lot has gone wrong with the car. However they have been minor problems, the interior clock has never worked, there are some problems with oil leaks, transmission slips in second gear. Cruise control never worked, and the headliner is in need of replacement.
General comments?
The car starts all the time. It rides extremely comfortably. I love driving it on the highway, and where I live everyone else owns BMW's, Benz, Porsche, and Lexus's, so everyone stays far away from me. I plan on having the tranny rebuilt, can't decide if I want to just rebuild or go high performance. As far as the engine I think I'll have the oil leaks fixed and plan on rebuilding engine in the future. Maybe a 350 or go all out and put in a 442. Have to think about it gas is expensive and this is my daily driver. I would like to do a crazy black/purple paint job too, just to much to list. As long as the car drives I'll just keep adding to it, she deserves all she can get. Hell she has been around for over 20 years and I just plain love this car.
