1996 Chevrolet Blazer S-10 review from North America
"Convinces me to never buy another GM"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Fuel pump (have to drop the gas tank to replace)
Transmission (some value between the transfer case and the torque converter)
Air conditioning.
Water pump (Most fans are bolted to the water pump. Smart GM decides bolt it AND screw it on. So you have to have a "special" tool to remove it)
Radiator.
Leather seat cover (The seat hardware wears through the leather)
Brakes (learn to replace them your self. This car likes to eat them)
Air Bag.
I'm sure there are plenty more.
General comments?
I originally bought this car in hopes that it would last me for a very long time. Was I wrong. This car has become a money pit. Every year it has become more and more expensive to maintain. Love the car WHEN it works. It's not too big, but have a lot of room. What good is that when it's sitting DOA in my driveway. It has become a very unreliable vehicle. I use to have a '84 Nissan that was better engineered, more reliable and I was much harder on it. Plus had a lot more miles on it when it died. I'm really disappointed in this car.
