1999 Dodge Van 2500 review from North America
"It's a good vehicle if you don;t mind fixing front Suspension-at 2,000 dollars"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Pitman arm
Center link
Idler arm
2 inner-1 outer tie rod ends
Three of 4 ball joints
And all front wheel bearings
@ 61,000 miles???
General comments?
I could see wheel bearings going at 61,000 miles, they were original; but the rest- NO - not on a 3/4 ton Full sized van. My dealer put wheel bearings in and I said no to the rest--traded in van next day.
Van was big and roomy -which is what I got it for.
Had power to spare -5.2 V8- for Hauling people or just about anything else inside ---I never pulled a trailer with it though.
Gas mileage was bad for short trips - but was better than expected for long trips -20 miles to the gallon.
Over all---I wish I still Had this Van-but the payments on it and wanting $2000 for front suspension redo--Just had to trade off.
