2004 Mazda RX8 192 PS review from UK and Ireland
"I'm very impressed with the style and performance"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The car developed a misfire at high engine speeds under high load after about 2,000 miles. I believe this may have been due to low quality fuel, but Mazda were very quick to re-flash the ECM with new software. The engine is now smoother than it ever was.
General comments?
The car is a joy to drive. You have to now focus on the fuel gauge which I have to say is daunting, as I at certain times you can really see it move. But that aside the turn in of the chassis and the handling are great. I've got my pro-drive day this weekend and can't wait to find the limits on a closed course. Cabin is fine, although quality could be better, but for the price I'm very pleased.
