2001 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 review from North America
"This truck is capable yet uncomfortable."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The differential pressure feedback sensor, DPFE, went bad. Vibrations come through the steering wheel.
General comments?
The Ford Ranger is a capable off road vehicle. It has more than enough power and chassis strength for towing, rock crawling or other utilitarian uses.
The draw back to this is it makes for an uncomfortable daily driver car. It is best suited for a winter or work vehicle.
It is best not to drive this truck everyday seeing as how it gets absolutely terrible gas millage. Even with a 4.0L.
