1978 Datsun 120Y review from Australia and New Zealand
"Sluggish, but very reliable and Economical"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Points needed adjusting when I first got the car, as they made it run roughly.
Crack in dashboard, besides this - Nothing.
General comments?
This car was very slow and sluggish, especially when cold - but then a warm engine still did'nt improve the performance much.
A very easy car to drive, but bad body roll and could be very unsteady at higher speeds (80+)
Seats were uncomfortable and caused lower back pain even on shorter trips.
I Bought the car off an 80 year old woman, so it had been fastiduosly maintained, both inside and out.
Only had it for a couple of months (In the middle of an Australian summer) And then realised I would never be able to handle the almost non - existant climate control (No Air-Con).
Would be a Great car in colder Climates, but just wasn't for me.
