1994 Rover - Austin 600 620 Si review from Italy
"Fast and elegant"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rear right power lock failed at 190,000 km.
Front CV joints had to be replaced at 210,000 km.
Front right power window failed at 240,000 km.
General comments?
This car is fast and comfortable. It is suited for long journeys in all conditions of weather. You can drive at 180 km/h on freeways with strong later wind and feel the vehicle running like a train.
Being British born it's very elegant, without being arrogant.
In a couple of occasions brakes locked the front wheels resulting in a crash with the preceding vehicle. I recommend to use very good tires on this car and keep suspensions serviced, in order to lessen the chance of brake locking.
After last crash I decided not to repair the car and buy a new one with ABS.
