2001 Nissan Sentra SE review from North America

Rear brake caliper got stuck (+/- 40k kilometers)

Heat shield fell (+/- 55k kilometers)

CD player have problem reading thick CDs (+/- 60k kilometers)

front-left Suspension arm broke. I'm not sure its the actual name though :p (+/- 63k kilometers)

An excellent car in overall... if you're small.

I'm 6 foot tall and the only thing I didn't watch for when buying this car is the leg room and comfort for long rides. It's not uncomfortable, but there's definitely room for improvement there.

Space in the back is practically inexistent if the front seat are back to their maximum.

On the good side, it handles like a charm. Acceleration from a stop position can leave the other cars eating your dust if you so desire. on the highway, you don't have to ask the car twice to go from 90-100 to 120-130, I didn't actually time it, but it does it fast enough to allow you to pass other cars very quickly.

The engine is very reliable too. I've had a lot of minor problems here and there on the car, but never with the engine or related to it.

The sentra is not the most fuel efficient of its class, but its not a gas guzzler either. The fuel tank is around 45 liters and I make an average of 350 kilometers per tank in town and on the highway you can expect an average of 500 kilometers, although I've been able to push it to 600 using good quality gas and respecting the speed limits :)

I'd recommend this car to young people like me looking for a great car, its not perfect, but the price is right and it'll get your adrenaline pumping if you decide to get "sporty" :p.
