1995 Oldsmobile Aurora review from North America
"A money vamp, but fun as heck when healthy"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
First month I owned it the radiator blew several holes, I took it into get fixed at the cadillac dealership because nobody else would touch the engine. they fixed my water pump which wasn't as expensive as I had though it might be.
The real problem was when I tried to drive my car home from the shop when I realized my car wouldn't shirt out of 1st gear. I took it back and they told me they rest my shirt chip.
One day later my so called shift chip went out again, I got a quote from two different dealerships and they both ball parked the repair cost at 2500.00
The AC stopped working, and shifting from reverse to 1st caused my transmission to slam so hard it sounded like it was getting ripped out each time I put it into a gear.
My aurora sat for 1 solid yr because the repair costs were way to extreme for my pockets book.
My cousin buried himself in the massive cluster of fuses under the back seat along with the regular fuse panel and within two days my car shifted like new my ac worked and the slamming stopped completely!!!
Now my radiator just needs to be replaced and my fuel line is leaking and needs to be replaced.
General comments?
The reason I got this car in the first place was because This little V8 can move! I'm a girl who loves a tough engine that can press me into my seat. The horse power this car has made me almost as happy as my old 302 and reminded my of a little sister engine to my old boss engine.
