1997 Isuzu Rodeo review from North America
"Better than most SUV's"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Timing belt 50,000
Tapping engine, 55,000
Shocks 60,000.
General comments?
This car has its ups and downs.
It is very roomy and has great leg room. Extremely comfortable for road trips and has great cargo space.
Fairly powerful and super reliable off road. Without 4-wheel drive this car is not worth buying. It is an animal off-road going through virtually anything.
Eats a lot of gas!
Noisy, especially at high speeds.
Powerful and fast, but not quick (ie. its acceleration is not very good, but at high speeds it really moves).
Bulky and very likely to rollover if not properly handled.
Overall it is much better than a blazer or an explorer. The only SUV far superior to it might be the Jeep Cherokee.
