2003 Citroen C5 Break review from Netherlands
"A good family car which needs a lot of improvement on reliability"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The rear window-lock had to be replaced.
The indicator didn't work after 2 weeks.
The left-side rear door lock wouldn't open and the unit had to be replaced.
The radio/CD/telephone unit could not be turned on after a fuel-stop on the motorway, resulting in a 700 mile holiday trip without music or traffic information.
The parking assistant didn,t work. A week later it was miraculously functioning again.
There appeared a crack in the wind-wiper liquid container. It had to be replaced, which cost us a day of our one week vacation in Austria.
The brakes creak when braking at low speed.
General comments?
A very spacious comfortable car, perfect for long journeys, but unfortunately very unreliable as far as the electronics are concerned.
The Citroen dealer service is very good.
All problems where adequately dealt with.
