2000 Mitsubishi Carisma Comfort review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When I first bought the car it had not been serviced for two years, so I took the car to my local Garage and had a through service where the fan belt and a wheel bearing were required to be changed above the usual servicing tasks.
Rear electric windows don't work.
Fan belt squeals below 1 degree celsius and I think that another wheel bearing is worn although I can't decide weather its just road noise.
General comments?
This car has everything you could ever want. It is one of the early face lifted models and benefits from chrome details, metallic blue paint, alloy wheels, Trip computer, Automatic Air conditioning and a CD player.
The garish blue interior took a few weeks to get used to, but now I actually prefer it to my old Ford.
I thought I would miss the Diesel power, but the 1.6 manual proves reliable, Quick and economical.
The car was bought at an Auction for £1800.00 and has proved to be worth much more.
I love the car with the exception of a squeaky fan belt and the lack of rear windows and feel that most reviews in the press have been unfairly earned of this car all I could wish for now that I had leather seats.
