2001 Dodge Intrepid SE review from North America
"Never let me down at 160,000"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Typical maintenance.
Flickering oil light at 100000.
Trouble with coolant bleed screw leaking at 110000.
Rebuilt transmission at 153000.
General comments?
I have beat the crap out of this car using it for work. I treat it like a 4 wheel drive, driving down 2 tracks, unplowed roads in all kind of conditions. Change the oil every 4-7000 miles and it has never let me down. I guess ignorance is bliss, because I did not know that the 2.7 gave people trouble until recently. Maybe the high mileage I drive has some effect on the lack of sludge in the engine, but it has not given me a lick of trouble so far!
