1988 Ford Ranger XLT review from North America

"A good Amer. Japanese. truck"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Fuel filter clogged

Gas tank rusted

Fuel pump and sender week

Fuel regulator bad

2 of 3 front u-joints worn out

Radiator leaking

New plugs, wires cap and rotar

New brake lines, hubs and bearings

New windsheild washer pump

New side mirors

New shocks

New uniroyals.

General comments?

This truck had been sitting in a farmers barn for a couple years. Most of the problems were from a lack of use, it cost me $480 and drove me home 40 miles (kept bogging out over 50 mph) after a couple of banged knuckles and fuel regulator pouring fuel all over the place, it was cheap to fix. 4 uniroyal tires mounted and balanced only cost $161.00, wish they still made them. This truck has never left me stranded. Reminds me of an old faithfull dog.
