1981 DeLorean DMC-12 review from North America
"Acceptable and reliable car that draws attention wherever you go."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My DeLorean had been put in storage in 1985 after the previous owners wife ran it without oil. The car had not been properly prepped for storage and the engine needed to be replaced as well as the fuel system. Having replaced the engine with a stock PRV V6,I know 0 power I'm a purist, I have had little trouble with the car and the fuel efficiency is surprisingly good.
General comments?
The car preforms so so and is in no way comparable to my Rx-7 but I didn't get this car for performance, I bought for the looks and Mystique. Despite the utter lack of pick up the handling is good and the car is more fun to drive than your average sedan and with the prices they sell at nowadays there really isn't any reason you shouldn't live the dream.
