1997 Dodge Intrepid review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Electrical problems, including battery cable, battery drain from brake light
and starter failure.
Crank sensor and cam position sensor failure.
Clunking from steering getting worse.
Engine failure at 66,000 miles.
General comments?
This vehicle like many like it sits unable to run with much on debt on it, and is not worth repairing as due to supply and demand the price of replacement engines is out of sight. While the oil was not changed every 3000 miles, this still should not have happened. The car was cared for, and we liked it's comfort and ride. Very sad.
