1997 Toyota Tarago review from Australia and New Zealand
"Over priced, but hassle free option with room to spare"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Small plastic white vacumme filter found under seat near carby. this is attached to a thin black vacumme hose. when this fills with oil and it will you car will run like crap. it will stall all the time and use lots of fuel. if you remove it and clean it with methoylated spirits every 5000klms you van will run like a dream.
Contacts in starter motor needed replacing as well as bearing in starter. cost only $150.
General comments?
This van is great for the family. it has teh most room in the back for pram adn stuff than most other PMs we looked at.
The cost of buying one can hurt.
A V6 option would make those hills less steep.
It does feel like you are driving a big car rather that a van, until you drive on a bumpy road, then its like a gentle bull ride.
