1994 Renault Twingo review from Israel
"A "smile" on wheels :)"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
At the first service after I got the car it turned out that the previous owner has fitted not an original front disks which caused vibrations.
There is rust in the cooling system (when will people learn not to put tap water in the radiator!!!) which caused some leaking from the cooling pipes seals.
The starter went at 152000 km (last week).
The middle engine base has worn and its very expensive in israel, almost 200$ (the twingo isn`t very popular here) not including work,i haven`t changed it yet.
There`s a minor leak from the gear.
The paint is peeling off especially at the roof (probably because of the intense sun).
Interior is low quality it rattles like... (well you know what I mean)
General comments?
It's a funky car!!
Very comfortable, although the seat base is a bit short.
Good road manners, but no go kart.
Fuel comsumption is low, combined figures are 14 km/l.
Very spacious for four adults.
The air condition is pretty good too.
And most of all I love the reactions I get from people.
