1990 Holden Commodore Executive review from Australia and New Zealand
"Quick, reliable and cheap"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The car uses a lot of fuel, I would be lucky to get 300 km/tank just from driving around the area at a normal pace.
The 'check engine' light keeps on coming on every now and then.
Both the petrol and temp gage only work if you smash the dash with your fist.
The back lights are faded.
The radiator was blocked with rust and a new one was required to keep the car at a normal temperature.
General comments?
Other than these problems, the car has been good so far. It has extremely good acceleration for an old car and I would recommend this model commodore for a P plater as its cheap and its safer to drive in the wet than the previous model VL.
