1997 Mazda Xedos 9 SE review from UK and Ireland
"Tight and Smooth!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
CV Boot Replaced crack in one
Power Steering and Alternator Belts Replaced (precaution)
Rusted Brake Rotors Replaced (car standing for 6 months or more)
General comments?
I was looking for a cheap bargain exec type car that would not break down. Wanted a Jag, but 1994 models too ugly.. so optimised on this Xedos 9.
Couldn't give a monkey's about charisma, so I'm happy.. it's a great smooth cruiser.. handles v. well except the back end behaves a bit wierd on sharp turns.. (has it got passive rear steering?.. there is a dummy rack and all the other gubbins that go with steering, at the rear) Power seems OK esp above 3.5k rpm, but sluggish at low speed. Grounds on speed bumps. Sound system is FAB.
