1998 Chevrolet K3500 HD Crew Cab Dually review from North America
"Disappointed would sell the truck if I could afford to take the financial loss"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have an engine knock. It occurs on start up. Lasts until trucks warms up. Changing the oil does not quiet the noise. Same noise with 5W 30 and 10W 30.
The front door handles do not function. To exit the truck you must roll down the windows and open from the outside. I called the local Chevy dealer in Louisville. They are "aware" of the problem. Cost of repair $350. It's a little frustrating when you consider the cost of this vehicle, and the fact that there are cars and trucks on the road today that are 20-50 years old and you can still exit the vehicle from the inside. Another concern: In case of an emergency (ie. fire in the cab) I wonder if chevrolet will be held liable since they are "aware" of this problem.
