1998 Audi A4 review from North America
"One Big Joke"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Everything has gone wrong with this car: the radiator at 99,000 ($1000), the motor Mounts at 99,000 ($800), the secondary Air Pump at 105,000 ($300), the Cruise Control Module at 107,000 ($700), the ABS Unit at 110,000 ($2,700), an Oil Sensor at 111,000 ($200), the Tie Rods in both rear suspension systems at 112,000 ($500) and the traction control unit at 114,000 miles ($2000).
General comments?
The car is a colossal piece of crap mechanically. The sytling of the car is great, but not worth the pain and agony of the repair bills. I had a warranty and it didn't cover anything that went wrong with the car. Pretty useless. So if you can use a caclulator you can see the astronomical amount of money that I spent to fix this car. After the Traction control unit went, that's when I bought an asian car. Reliability is the way to go and they have it mastered.
