2000 Holden Astra CD Sedan review from Australia and New Zealand
"Overated Good looking car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Cruise control stoped, working, this was a faulty sensor in the wheel. Fixed at around the $150.00 mark by Holden.
Rear electric window would not come back up, the small plastic part in the window broke, this cost $480.00 fitted by holden.
Excessive Brake dust and 2 sets of brake pads in 20,000 KM's.
Windscreen wipers had to be Holden, however I managed to rig it up to house KMart blades, however ended up breaking the wipers all together.
Constant creaking of the drivers seat.
Extreame Lathargic driving untail about 3000 Revs. I have been told this has something to do with a ECU sensor.
Key hole failed to open several times, resulting in getting a screw driver and flicking the anti-theft flap down.
Jolting engine when simply applying more power to the accelartor.
Excessive front wheel noise (grinding sound) when turning corners.
Noise from the centre dash board.
Air-Con, requires to be truned on and off to get it going.
General comments?
The car looks great and it is generally solid and nice to drive, however so many faults and costly repairs burn all positive thoughts about the vehicle.
