1995 Citroen Xantia LX review from UK and Ireland
"Fantastically comfortable, reliable and reasonably inexpensive"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rear suspension joints replaced under warranty ca. £300 due to uneven tyre wear at the rear.
No other problems.
General comments?
This car has proved extremely comfortable even when carrying five adults and luggage although the styling does reduce head room for tall back seat passengers.
The adjustable ride height has proved its worth on several occassions; navigating a very rough field being used as a car park, passing through a deep flood water, and last but not least, being able to reach the desk in McDonald's drive throughs!
I only have two critisisms of this car. Firstly the power operated brakes, while extremely effective, tend to snatch and can make driving the car smoothly a bit of a challenge.
Secondly, while the ride is superb, the handling can be unpredictable particularly if making rapid progress on twisting roads.
