1997 Peugeot 406 LX review from UK and Ireland
"A good, comfortable family car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Persistent clicking noise from behind the glovebox - turned out to be faulty fresh/recirculating air control flap - fixed for free by pulling the wire off the motor! Not an uncommon fault, I understand.
New cambelt fitted free by Peugeot because of a "quality" problem with the original one. Apart from that, nothing!
General comments?
Great roadholding, magic carpet ride.
Dealer prices too much to bear, so I service it myself for about a quarter of the price.
