2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT review from North America
"What Pontiac is about : sporty look with the right stuff to go with it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Driver armrest (with lots of controls on it) unhinged 35000 - fixed with a loop of thick wire to keep in place.
Passenger door inside upholstery unhinged - stays more or less in place 40000.
41000 - temperature when idling rising faster than usual to 200 deg and staying there with smell of burnt sthing from under the hood - garage says all is normal -
General comments?
Great car, very nice looking, reliable - bought secondhand 4 years old only 32k miles. Decent acceleration. Smooth riding. Dreadful mpg (18 mpg mixed use). Gas tank ridiculously small for consumption. Good handling although low tolerance to slippery road surface (too much power on the front wheels I think). All in all, looks good and handles well, and so far apart from gas, no maintenance.
