1996 Chevrolet Cavalier base 2 door review from North America
"Well-built reliable car for someone single"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I bought the cav and went to get a emissions inspection. cause it's a 1996 they plug up under the dash, which drained my battery and alt. had to replace both-$175. Went to get safety inspection, rear brakes failed, $120 to fix. other than that it has been gas and iol changes every 3000 miles. runs like a new car. I charged the A/C myself and it was $45 and freezes me out. Love it, chevy doesn't make anymore that's to the cobalt. Just a more expesive cavalier. Not gonna see me buying one. Will keep looking for low priced cavs.. why go and ruin a good thing?
General comments?
Overall, kinda rough ride, not the best mileage with A/C on and and has a vibration in the steering wheel when you hit the brakes.. I think I can live with it for now.
