1972 Buick LeSabre Convertible review from North America
"The best car I ever owned"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I had a lifter go bad a year after buying it ('96).I thought I might as well get the engine rebuilt, but the mechanic told me it really didn't need any other work. The engine is definitely the best feature of this great car.
Convertible top, motor and cables had to be replaced/fixed.
Power windows have come off track (3 of 4)
A few small rust spots.
Rear differential died on the return leg of a trip to California from Houston-but I made it home.
All problems were due to age and neglect.
General comments?
Very reliable-my daily driver.
This car is a demon on the road.
Handles very well for it's size.
A bit of a gas guzzler.
The interior is huge and comfortable with plenty of legroom.
Easy to work on.
Parts are generally available, but may take a little time to find.
