1995 Ford Bronco XLT review from North America
"An SUV with truck-like qualities"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Passenger-side front seat had torn. Problem was fixed with wet-suit material seat covers.
Rear-end went out at 102,000 miles. Cost to fix: $1,300.
Ignition problems. The key would not come out the ignition. Very exspensive fix. $900.
The front wheels have needed to allignated almost every 3 months. My Bronco is lifted which contributes to the cause. Front end is still high maintance.
Automatic Hubs broke while being put into 4 wheel drive. Replaced with manual locking hubs.
General comments?
This Bronco never stops amazing me! It tows are 23 foot boat perfectly. The Bronco handels great in the snow, mud and dirt. I purchased a "leveling" kit to bring the front end up. I also put 33 inch tires on it. The bronco looks greats and runs great! No...It's not a new truck, But people are always saying "Hey, that thing is clean!" A performance exhaust helped with the gas prices. The cabin is comfortable. It gives a safe feeling without all the over-done added electronical add-ins. It's a perfect cross between a comfortable SUV and a serious truck.
