1985 Ford LTD Broughm review from North America
"Comfortalbe reliable transporation"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
It needed valve cover gaskets when I got it.
The power windows didn't work when I bought it the motors and gears needed to be replaced.
The Electronic Control Modular went bad, but was a easy fix.
Battery.
Starter.
Something in the wiring of the fuel pump went bad causing it to stay on when I turned the key and and kill my battery. I still don't know what is wrong with it I simply ran a kill switch for the fuel pump into the car and has worked fine for 7 or 8 months now.
General comments?
Its been a great car!
Over a year of use and close to 25000 miles its only cost me around 500 dollars to keep it on the road.
It does pretty good on Gas for an older car it gets about 25 mile to the gallon highway.
The worst part of the car is the it hard to some parts in the junkyard because it is kinda a rare car in this area.
