1982 Skoda Estelle review from UK and Ireland
"Better than renting"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Needed to inflate the rear tyres.
Topped up the windshield washer bottle.
General comments?
Was bought as an alternative to a hire car during a 3-week stay in England.
Bought for 100 pounds from an 84-year old man, first owner, who was giving up driving.
Came with full service history - a thick file - which I didn't want to look at, but the owner made me read it. Also made me drink several cups of tea.
Came with a 3/4 tank full of petrol and 6 months road tax and 6 months MoT, but no warranty as this was a private sale.
Needed washing, though.
Filled up with petrol once.
Forgot to insure it.
Sold 3 weeks later for 200 pounds.
