1990 Chevrolet Corsica LTZ review from North America
"Great 4 door sedan with a sporty look with great reliability and comfort"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I knew the previous 2 owners of the car. The 1st owner had gotten rid of it because the head gasket blew and it had hail damage and didn't think it was worth putting all that money into a totaled car for an engine rebuild, but really did love the car. They sold it to someone to rebuild the engine and the guy did just that, he rebuilt the engine.
It was his son's car and his son later went off to the army and so his dad drove the car as a work car, but his wife bought a new car and already had 3 other cars and decided to get rid of the oldest car(which was this corsica) So they sold it to me. After I'd had it about 6 months the ignition module went out, but was easy to get at to replace, and so we replaced it ourselves for a low price.
General comments?
This car I remember always starting in the winter when it was theirs. The family also had 2 brand new cars that didn't start one winter when it was 40 degrees below zero in their garage, but this corsica sat outside under all the snow and still started at 9 years of age. The car did always start for me too. The seats were Very comfortable since they had the LTZ sport bolsters. I didn't really want to get rid of this car, but another 2 door car came along that I wanted, so I was forced to sell. This corsica was very reliable and fuel efficient.
