2004 Perodua Kembara GX review from Malaysia
"Daihatsu and Perodua created a new niche, a mini 4*4"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
That is the beauty of the car, nothing at all???!!!
General comments?
I generally take reasonable care of the care. Wheel allignment, service on the dot, change filters regularly and so on. The car has never let me down, at all. Fuel consuption is slightly better than the first day I bought the car, about 12.5km per litre. Engine is still very quiet, but unfortunately beginning to get a bit rough due to high revving. At 110km/h is about 4000 rpm. Fifth gear ratio is not as good as the Automatic version, which apparently is what my friend has. He says for 110km/h the rpm is about 3500 rpm.
Toke it offroad, into floads no problem, where no car has gone or dare to go before, no problem.
Compartment still very quiet, even after break in by theif, offroading, high revving, a few minor accidents (hit by iswara at the back (almost can't see damage), wall and post), and 1.5 years.
Definately would recommend.
