2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP review from North America

"A good car"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The only thing that has gone wrong with the car since I purchased it was the inside rear view mirror fell off.

General comments?

From the first time I sat in the car, I liked it. I am kind of tall (6'5") and I was looking for a coupe that had enough leg room, and power for me. It's exterior styling had to also be appealing.

This car really surprised me with it's spacious interior. When I sat in it, I actually felt that I would be able to take it on a road trip and not feel crammed in it. The HUD is convenient when driving at night, but not too visible during the day. The radio controls on the steering wheel are a plus.

The only negative thing I can say about the interior is that I don't like the trunk release in the glove compartment, but that is how it is with most Pontiac's so I just use the one on the remote.

I really like how the car handles. With the wide track design, it lets me corner at much faster speeds then I did with previous cars.

The engine is powerful, the 240 horses and 280 foot lbs of torque come in handy when I want to pass someone or when I'm in a hurry and need to get somewhere fast.

I do think that the car could come with bigger breaks to accommodate for quicker stopping, and a stiffer suspension to take the road bumps with out bouncing as much.

When I stand outside of the car, I like how it looks, from the dual exhaust pipes, to the fog lights, I like how the car looks. The only things I would change are I would put some tint on the windows, and get some bigger wheels, but those are minor.
