1988 Holden Commodore VL review from Australia and New Zealand
"Excellent overall"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
No part of the car has failed since I have had it however:
I replaced the coolant (as it dripped out it was the colour of water in 50year old pipes under your house)
Oil change.
New tyres.
Front light globe.
Heater very slow working.
Centre console controls lose.
General comments?
Absoulute head turner.
Quite quick once in 2nd gear.
OK on petrol however if petrol goes up more I will keep this car for weekends and get a runabout.
Car has become cult among young drivers, fully sick.
Interior OK.
I bought this car for $9000 after my mate had done many mods including, full walkinshaw kit, t3 after market turbo, intercooler and blow off valve, full resray, sound system ect. I have had no problems with the car exhept occasionly it gains to much attention, These cars are the most stolen car in Victoria so I reccommend all security options to protect it. MOst stolen cars are stripped for parts which is why these cars are common. Mines currently running on 10psi in which I will leave it on.
Great cruiser.
