2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo review from North America
"Great off road and on, we loved it and want another with a HEMI"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The vehicle was a great suv. Other than basic maintenance it was reliable for both me and my father. Especially the abuse it suffered from us. But there is no such thing a a flawless vehicle. The only one we recall is it always had a funny knocking noise (from day one) that came from the rear of the vehicle on tight corners. It went to the dealer about 8 times before my father said forget it. It never got worse and it never really bothered us. We both abused this thing on and off road. It is a great off road for a factory suv with meaty all terrain tires. It did exceptional in snow.
General comments?
Long story short I wrecked my Monte Carlo in November of 2004. At that time my father owned the Jeep and came across a really good deal on a Blazer and leased it. I got the Jeep from November 2004 until March of 2005. My father hates the Blazer and I love my 1987 gta trans am and my most recently purchased 1994 grand cherokee. it currently has 214,714 miles and the v8 runs strong with a rebuilt transmission with a shift kit. Paid $1000 for it and $800 for a friend to rebuild the trans. When i am old enought to afford a HEMI Jeep i will buy one and Father plans on it being next
