2004 Chevrolet Optra review from Malaysia
"Value for money if you don't mind the fuel consumption"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Timing belt snapped at 6000 due to loose belt guide inside the engine. Fortunately covered by warranty. Engine head, valves, belt & other associated parts had to be replaced.
General comments?
Solid built, attractive body design & lots of spec thrown in (dual airbags, leather seats, ABS on 4 wheels, CD changer with MP3 capability, etc). However fuel consumption is very high; can only do 8 km/Ltr. (NB: Brochure stated 10 Km /Ltr which is not true).
