This is really a great car! It was a screaming deal for an ex-supercar. With 42,000 miles on it, it starts right up and runs smooth. I was not fully understanding of the Porsche aura until I bought this car. I always wondered why someone would pay such a premium for a car that on paper was seemingly equal to much less priced models. Well, this car has true synergy. Everything is complimentary, meaning that the power, handling, comfort, and braking are so intimately linked that you then see why they have such a fanatic following. The cars, while complicated, are not so complicated that a handy person cannot work on them. In contrast, when you really boil it down, it is actually rather simple and basic. Cost for parts is quite dear, but they are avaiable and relatively easy to get. I owned an RX-7 before this and thought that handled good. This handles at least as good, and has more than twice the power. It weighs in at about 3300 lbs. Compare that with cars today and you can see the inherent advantages to handling. It really is a shame that the 928 garners so much less attention that the 911, but then again if it did the prices would probably be higher than I could afford.
