1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS review from North America
"GS with turbo is a nice ride"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Sunroof track clip broke, won't close properly if completely opened.
NOISY interior ride.
Speedometer keeps breaking.
Excessive tire wear (part my fault!)
General comments?
Power wasn't impressive, so added a STAR turbo kit, now it scoots pretty well!!
I'm 6'4", so it's pretty cramped, but feels like a cockpit. Had to extend the steering wheel out so wheel/knee/shifting hand weren't always touching.
Shifter feels sloppy, not very positive gating. Wasn't happy with ratios at first, but have gotten used to them. Still wish for a 6th gear!
Give the engine SERIOUS GOOD MARKS, as I was road tripping last winter, and my air filter iced up. Still had my PCV hooked up, so turbo sucked 4 qts oil out of the crank case. It ran I don't know how long on 1 qt, at 80mph!!! All that happened is I lost about 1-1.5" vacuum at idle, so it did get into the rings a bit.
