2003 Suzuki Grand Vitara Grand Nomade review from Chile
"I'll never buy another car of this brand"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The plate that hold the fan system got broken at 40.000 kms.
General comments?
This was my second grand Nomade (chilean version to grand vitara)
The two ones got broken in the same motor part.
The first one (built in 1998) got broken the automatic temp system of the fan (viscoussystem I guess) at 45.000 kms.
Then, I decided to sold it and try a brand new one.
The second one ran in the same way.
At 40.000 kms a plate what goes attached to the block of the motor, torn out in two pieces. So, the fan and its belts went broken also, and obviusly the coolant ran broken, because of the hit of the fan, and began to leak.
The dealer said it wasn't his fault, couse an oil exchange wasn't done in his own.
They try to make me pay around us$1.400.- for the reparations (a 1/12 of the price of the entire vehicle)
At last, and after a hot and long "fight" with the dealer they accept fix the problem if I did the checking control in their own...
By other way, and except this awful problem, the car is very comfortable, easy to drive, well finished and showed a very good behiavor off the road.
