1997 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C 180 Elegance review from Jordan
"Built for life"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front shock absorbers, radiator sensor, front right power window (glass went out of its track when lowered on a slope), lower control arm kit (just the rubber needed to be replaced), the Automatic started to get rough recently, but rarely rough changes do happen.
General comments?
The car is well built, not an S Class or even an E class, but still no less, it's a benz and a benz quality it preserves. I bought the car preowned from Germany and was brought to Jordan where it is hot at summer (temps. peak at 37 C very often in the summer time), and the cars rediators work at full capacity, but not once thank God had it failed me or even the car had over heated.a very reliable and edurable car, that's what I paid money for, that's the quality I expect.
It's an automatic and Amman is a city setteling on 7 mountains, so its mountain roads where ever you go, and the car may need a toquier engine, but the 1.8 liter is a worrior and gives good acceleration on mid revs and has exelent response. kick down is often needed, but very effective leaving it only to necessary circumstances, handling is great on high speeds as well as awsome high speed stability although the car had went through serious accidents that involved the front section of the car, but repaired and drives like silk.
