1999 Ford Escort SE Sedan review from North America
"Reliable and Easy on your Wallet"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
At 99800+ miles the car seemed to have trouble starting, though only stalled once, but then started right back up, I had the car checked and it turns out the radiator had never been flushed, it was full of rust, since that has been fixed it runs great again.
When I got the car the brakes were bad, but it just needed pads and rotors, and new tires.
The previous owner had to travel for his job, which accounts for the high miles, but he also didn't take very good care of it. Luckily I have caught these problems before anything has happened to the engine, which runs great.
The battery died at about 99500 miles, but it was the original, nothing major to have to fix yet.
The seats aren't that comfortable to me, although the inside is nice.
General comments?
I like my 4 cylinder Escort, it hasn't let me down yet. It's got pep for only being a 4 cylinder.
