2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue GX review from North America

Nothing has gone wrong in the 9000 miles/11 months I have owned this intrigue. 57000 miles on it now. Except the paint on the radio buttons came off in spots and needed touch up.

Performs good. Needs more low end torque. I bought this Intrigue G,X last year with 48000 miles. From what I have read the 02 is the most reliable out of the previous model years. This oldsmobile gets good gas mileage and will keep right up with a 3.8 series II engine. This was a rental vehicle and I found a dealer receipt for repair of a power steering leak around 30000 miles. I miss 15 inch tires they are cheaper. My previous vehicles were Buick Le Sabres a 93 & a 98. The 98 with 45000 miles was totalled after I owned it 10 weeks. The 98 was hit in my driveway while I slept. And the driver took off, hit and run. So with my settlement check I went back to the dealer with my sad story and he made me a nice offer for the pretty white 02 Intrigue which had sat there 4 months. As the salesman could see the smashed 98 Le Sabre he sold me 10 weeks prior in their body shop. The oldsmobile is no Le Sabre as far as ride comfort or space, but I like it so far.
