1973 Porsche 914 review from North America
"The best roadster value available"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Not a thing, just routine maintenance.
General comments?
This is the 5th 914 I have owned, the 4th with a 4cyl motor. I have found them to be reliable, quick cars with a huge "fun factor" at autocross meets they routinely beat most of the competition including 911s and variants. They get good gas mileage and except for hard to locate or parts that are no longer available are relatively inexpensive to fix and maintain. The cabin is spaceous for a roadster and with two trunks you can carry a suprising amount of stuff.
