1996 Cadillac Brougham review from North America
"Solid dependable car, not as luxurious as I had hoped"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front suspension/steering arm at 116,000, $300.00.
A/C needed service at about 150,000, $250.00.
Heater needed service at about 165,000
$250.00.
General comments?
A very large, but nice to drive car. It has been very reliable, it is spacious, and can seat 5 adults comfortably. There is also plenty of space in the trunk. Many vehicle components are shared with the Impala, and the engine is shared with Impala, Corvette, and Camaro so there are usually plenty of parts available. For such a large car it handles quite well, and the automatic load leveller helps with this. Biggest disappointment is the amount of fake wood grain and plastic trim pieces. You'd expect better in a luxury car. Gas mileage about 19-20 city, 25+ on highway.
