1987 Pontiac 6000 Pontiac review from North America
"It's a solid car and it kicks butt"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This car has had only a handful of problems.
When I first got it, the trunk lock didn't work and the rear brakes were grabby.
The front brake caliber vibration dampeners were locked up, causing vibration during braking.
I tore down and cleaned the fuel injectors and intake manifold.
Then the alternator went out.
Air conditioner pump locked up.
Replaced front brake lines, power-steering pump, high pressure line, stereo, speakers, headlamp bulbs, and a few other problems.
General comments?
The car blew my mind when it chased down a v6 Mustang.
The car handles like a sport scar.
I plan to make custom ground fx to make the car look better.
I also plan to completly rebuild the engine to be able to handle the turbo.
I also plan to change over to a manual transmission,5 speed perferably.
The interior will be replaced with lightweight materials,5 piont harness racing seats, and lastly a Chromolly frame and roll-cage.This car will be barely street legal, at 600 hp and direct port nitrous oxide system.
